Welcome to the website of PRIOR.
PRIOR is a virtual research centre linking different institutes from the Netherlands, Tanzania and Indonesia to facilitate joint research on poverty-related diseases, focussing on the prevention, control and treatment of malaria, tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS.
PRIOR is based on longterme collaborations between the different institutes and got an official status through a grant from the Netherlands Foundation for the Advancement of Tropical Research (NWO-WOTRO) and the Netherlands Foundation for Health Research and Development (ZONMW). Additional grants were rewarded that enables PRIOR to continue after conclusion of the subsidy and that are in perfect line with PRIOR’s mission:
